The segment hints at a larger ongoing dispute over whether the haunt is real or a ruse.

A blog’s journalism team watches the program and vows to break into the Abaddon to boost their site’s popularity. Jessica Fox proposes the stunt with Mitchell’s help, claiming they can reveal the truth about the hotel. Mitchell cautions that the building is patrolled by police to prevent further disappearances.

Four days after the break-in, Jessica Fox is questioned by Rockland County police and cannot remember what happened, suffering a panicked attack. The officers treat her account as unreliable and hint at something more sinister behind the incident. The episode heightens the sense that the Abaddon exerts a dangerous, supernatural pull.

In a separate clip, a couple picks up a mysterious woman who asks to be dropped at the Abaddon, only to reveal herself as the ghost of a tour-goer who died in 2009. The sighting adds to the hotel's haunted reputation and foreshadows the danger awaiting any intruder. It emphasizes that the Abaddon’s past victims still linger in the story.

Mitchell, Jessica, David, and Molly decide to enter the Abaddon, joined by Brock Davies and his cameraman Malcolm. They plan a paranormal-style investigation despite warnings and police patrols around the hotel. Molly, anxious about entering, stays outside while the others move ahead.

They head for the basement while Brock and Malcolm go to the dining room, where Andrew Tully, the hotel owner, killed himself along with several cult followers. They attempt to communicate with spirits using a Ouija board and glimpse the ghost of a woman. Supernatural signs mount as the group presses deeper into the building.

Molly finally enters the hotel at David's request and the team discovers that Alex from the original Hell House crew went to the Abaddon in 2009, seemingly negotiating with an unseen man. Alex’s appearance deepens the mystery about who controls the hotel and its supernatural force. The moment raises questions about past investigations and unfinished business inside the hallways.

Back together, the group realizes David never asked Molly for help, and their attempt to leave is thwarted by escalating paranormal activity. They witness the ghost of Melissa, a Hell House actress who died in 2009, and the lifeless bodies of Brock and his cameraman hanging in the hotel. They are captured and dragged toward the dining room, sealing their captivity.

On the Morning Mysteries show, Mitchell claims the Abaddon lures people inside to kill them and traps their souls there. He frames the hotel as a predatory presence that continues to claim victims. The broadcast blends rumor, speculation, and perceived evidence, feeding the audience's fascination and fear.

A crew member informs Suzy that Arnold Tasselman called to apologize for missing the interview, but Suzy is stunned to learn Tasselman has already left the studio after the show. Inside the Abaddon, Mitchell wakes to find Jessica and Molly tied up, surrounded by ghostly figures including Mac, Alex, and Diane's piano-playing ghost. Tully taunts him, revealing that Tasselman was actually himself in disguise and that he has orchestrated the lure to keep victims coming. He forces Mitchell to choose one person to walk out of the hotel, and Molly is killed as Mitchell collapses in despair.

Presently, Jessica sits in a police station answering questions about the incident; when the officer turns around, her own ghost is revealed to be watching the camera. The revelation completes the cycle of hauntings and confirms the hotel’s curse extends beyond the living. The final twist suggests the Abaddon’s influence continues to claim victims from beyond the grave.
