Haunted Road

Seven friends witness the aftermath of a highway accident but fail to help. Their own car then breaks down, forcing them to seek shelter at a road stop. They decide to camp for the night together, bracing for whatever comes next.

Dudu is dared to take a selfie across the road, a risky stunt that sets a dark tone. As lights go out one by one, a ghost begins to chase her through the area. She escapes into the service store, while the others stay oblivious outside.

Zengliang nudges Xiaotian to grab food and the car accident victim's savings from the counter. They celebrate their supposed luck, but the theft draws the attention of the supernatural. The ghost soon catches up and kills Xiaotian.

Xuelian and Haojian decide to search for Dudu rather than wait. During this moment, Haojian confesses his love for Xuelian, but she remains focused on finding Dudu. The tension between them foreshadows what lies ahead.

Meanwhile, Zengliang and Huazi have sex in the garage, seemingly indifferent to the danger around them. Their intimacy contrasts with the fear changing the atmosphere of the night.

Xuelian, Haojian, and Ningmeng eventually locate Dudu's body in the cafeteria. The mood darkens as the group realizes the stakes have turned personal and deadly.

Ningmeng panics when the ghost attacks, and is killed as the ropes and wires are used to entangle her. The death deepens the group's fear and sense of danger.

Zengliang and Huazi regroup with the others after discovering Xiaotian's body in the restroom. The team's losses mount as the haunting expands beyond their expectations.

Haojian tries to kill the others during the mounting panic, injuring Zengliang's knee in the process. Xuelian knocks Haojian out and the now defeated member is left to the ghost's mercy.

The survivors realize that the deaths are foreshadowed by photos that have been sent among them. Dudu's photo is linked to Xiaotian, Xiaotian's to Zengliang, Ningmeng's to Huazi, and Haojian's to Xuelian.

They make a final effort to start a stray car in the garage in order to escape, but the engine refuses to start and their hopes fade. The sense of helplessness grows as the night wears on.

Jealous Huazi fabricates a cursed photo and strikes Xuelian with a ratchet spanner, leaving her apparently dead. The act sows doubt and intensifies the group's paranoia.

Huazi escapes but breaks her leg in a bush and is killed by the ghost. The haunting claims another victim as the night deepens.

Zengliang briefly reunites with the surviving Xuelian, then abandons her on the road. He is killed by the ghost, sealing his own fate in the confusion.

Xuelian finally learns the truth: she is the car accident victim, and her six 'friends' were strangers who helped her after witnessing the crash. Her monologues throughout the film are revealed as reflections on trauma. The ending states that those helpers have helped her escape the darkness.
