A group of CC Corp admins known as G.U. captures Haseo and reveals he is an Epitaph User, a rare PC who can control an Avatar. They propose help in finding Tri-Edge and in exterminating the AIDA bug in exchange for his cooperation. Haseo must choose whether to join their covert operation.

G.U. offers resources and a strategic plan—find Tri-Edge and fight AIDA—in exchange for Haseo's allegiance. The arrangement shifts the quest from personal revenge to a joint mission that could redefine his power and role. Haseo's fate begins to hinge on trust and alliances.

Atoli approaches Haseo and tries to spend time with him, seeking companionship and help. In a moment of rage, Haseo rejects her advances and pushes her away. The rejection strains their budding connection and deepens the emotional complexity of the journey.

Ovan manipulates Atoli to search for Tri-Edge as a way to win Haseo's acceptance of the mission. This manipulation places Atoli in danger and complicates the team dynamic. Trust between the characters becomes a key, fragile resource.

When Atoli vanishes due to an AIDA phenomenon, Haseo pursues her with Pi and Kuhn through The World. They chase leads and try to prevent further harm as the AIDA threat grows. The pursuit underscores the personal stakes behind the larger crisis.

Tri-Edge reappears and Haseo awakens his Avatar Skeith to confront him. After a fierce battle, Haseo defeats Tri-Edge, reclaiming a portion of his power. The victory comes with a bitter reminder that the real danger lies beyond this duel.

Atoli is attacked by AIDA, her PC data deteriorating as the infection spreads. To save her, Haseo shares his own PC data, stabilizing her and buying time to fight the broader threat. The act deepens their bond and demonstrates the cost of their war.

Ovan hacks into G.U., transporting Haseo and Atoli to an isolated area. In Atoli's mind space, Haseo confronts the AIDA-infected Atoli and frees her from its influence. The sequence reveals the fragility of identity within the digital world.

Ovan appears and reveals that he is the true Tri-Edge who killed Shino, having PKed Atoli. The revelation shocks Haseo and shatters the mentor-student trust that fueled much of the journey. The conflict escalates as power and deception collide.

In the climactic clash, Ovan sacrifices himself to awaken his sister Aina, curing her from AIDA and ending the threat at a great personal cost. Haseo is left grief-stricken but determined to honor the sacrifice. Atoli later uses Avatar power to help guide events to the sea of data to assist.

After the battle, Haseo reunites with Atoli and Shino at Hulle Granz Cathedral. Shino regains consciousness and blesses Haseo and Atoli's bond. The trio looks toward a hopeful future despite the costs endured.

In the post-credits scene, Aina is seen playing on a field with Ovan, while Reiko Saeki is contacted by an unknown man about Schicksal's moves. The epilogue hints that new threats loom beyond The World.
