Gubbi Mele Brahmastra

Gubbi, Raj B Shetty, a software engineer, is irritated by his parents’ ongoing pressure to arrange his marriage and would rather slow down to find love on his own terms. He messages a woman named “Purple Priya” on Facebook, and after some misadventures they eventually meet and agree to marry, sparking hope for a fresh start.

Purple Priya, Kavitha Gowda, becomes a bright note in Gubbi’s life, but trouble arrives when his wry yet dim-witted friend Nani, Sujay Shastri, fears that Gubbi will ditch him and sabotages the relationship by going to Priya’s parents’ house in his place and turning away the match. Gubbi soon learns of the betrayal and manages to patch things up, yet their happiness is short-lived.

Priya is soon kidnapped by Robin Hood, Pramod Shetty, a don Gubbi and Nani had run into before. Robin Hood offers a chilling bargain: he will release Priya if Gubbi robs an ATM van, a task that proves unexpectedly easy. The real challenge comes next: the don demands the abduction of Venkat Reddy’s daughter, a move designed to prevent them from marrying so Robin Hood can claim her as his own.

Gubbi and Nani seek Halli, a kidnapping expert near the border, but their mission nearly collides with the law as they stumble into police trouble during the ATM theft and unintentionally offend Halli and his henchman Shradda. Halli agrees to help, though he warns that Venkat Reddy is exceptionally powerful and ruthless. He sends Gubbi on a test run, where Gubbi is distracted and captured, but he manages to escape.

With Halli’s training, Gubbi eventually slips inside Venkat Reddy’s compound and completes the abduction. On the way back to Robin Hood’s hideout, tensions flare between Gubbi and Nani, and Nani leaves as they wait for Robin Hood. The plan unravels when they discover they have abducted Venkat Reddy’s wife instead of his daughter, forcing Gubbi to return and offer a “swap.” Venkat Reddy’s men, however, seize the entire family, leaving Gubbi scrambling to rectify the mistaken target and the car mix-up caused by Nani’s earlier misstep.

The situation escalates as Venkat Reddy tracks Halli, Robin Hood, and Priya down and captures everyone. Nani manages to slip in and untie the group, sparking a chaotic clash when another gang tries to seal a deal with Venkat Reddy. In a climactic twist, Robin Hood and Gubbi save Venkat Reddy and earn his admiration, but Priya is frightened by Gubbi’s use of firearms and decides to break things off.

Three months later, a despondent Gubbi and Nani attend Robin Hood’s wedding. They glimpse Priya, and Gubbi tries to reconcile, much to Nani’s frustration. The ceremony is interrupted again when the bride is kidnapped by a new don in Malaysia, known as “Little Mary.” Robin Hood asks Gubbi to rescue her, but he initially refuses, only to turn and discover that Priya has been kidnapped once more by Robin Hood’s underlings, setting the stage for a possible sequel, Gubbi in Malaysia.
