The family amusement park near Paris is struggling after the mother's death. Edda dreams of racing in the Grand Prix of Europe and hopes to save the park. Her father has taken loans from shady lenders who will seize the park if they aren't repaid within a week. The looming deadline sets the stakes for every decision to come.

Edda travels to Paris to hand out flyers for the family park, hoping to draw crowds and donations. Backstage she stumbles upon Ed's race car and can't resist taking a spin. Ed catches her in the act and, after she crashes the car, injuring his shoulder, agrees to a plan: she will take his place for half the winnings so the park can be saved.

Ed disguises Edda as a superfan who won a contest to accompany him to the Grand Prix. Edda drives using a two-way earpiece while Ed guides her from the pits. The arrangement lets her race at the highest level, but she must conceal the truth from everyone else.

While recovering from the punishment, Edda learns that Magnus — not Nachtkraab — is responsible for covert sabotages and has created magnetic drones to disrupt the final race in London. She teams with Böckli to uncover the broader conspiracy and to warn Ed about the threats. The revelation reframes the rivalries around the Grand Prix.

He launches the car onto a moving train to shield her passengers from a collision and to stop the threat at the last moment. This act redefines their bond and the outcome of the race.
