A homeowner relaxes on his pristine lawn when two Brooklyn‑accented gophers invade. He swings a hoe, fires a shotgun, and even fills them with helium, but the clever gophers evade every trick. They float up, a crow knocks a bottle, they crash into a tree and tumble down. The man fishes them from under his hat, only to be fooled by a tomato, then battles a hose that the gophers redirect back, sending him sprawling into his fountain.
