Set in the American Old West, the Stooges—Larry, Moe, and Curly—are scouts tasked with bringing down a notorious cattle-rustling gang led by the ruthless Longhorn Pete. Under the watch of General Muster, the trio relies on stealth, blending into the dusty landscape and even posing as bushes to monitor the rustlers’ routines. The humor grows from their mismatched disguises and exaggerated caution as they attempt to stay unseen.

The plan is nearly foiled when the rustlers spot the ruse and open fire, sending the Stooges scrambling back for cover. They find themselves slipping into Longhorn Pete’s bustling saloon, where disguises as gamblers buy a momentary reprieve as they await the cavalry.

Inside, the group continues to bide its time, maintaining the disguise while trying to keep lines of communication open with General Muster. The clandestine note attempt via carrier pigeon is intercepted by the crafty bad guy, Harry ‘Snub’ Pollard, complicating their escape and raising the stakes.

A hurried retreat follows, with the trio leaping aboard a covered wagon that becomes a rolling stage for chaos—packed with household items and an unexpected simian companion—sparking a frantic chase that snakes through town and countryside alike.

When the odds grow impossible, they turn a humble meat grinder into an improvised Gatling gun by rigging it with ammunition and a belt. The makeshift weapon shakes the landscape as the gang’s momentum ebbs, just as General Muster and his troops arrive to capture the outlaws.

Yet triumph is tempered by mishap: the mischievous monkey activates the grinder, sending a spray of shots into the air and forcing a quick retreat as laughter and relief mix with the dust of the street. The curtain falls on the trio, battered but upbeat, riding hard toward a hard-won peace with a cavalry escort closing in.
