Long ago, a bitter tragedy forged an unbridgeable rift between Anjooran and the Anappara family. When men from Anappara abducted Balaraman's fiancée, Anjooran's wife was killed, and he was jailed for avenging her by killing Achhamma's husband. From that moment on, he harbored a deep hatred of all women, and women were barred from entering his home.

At law college, Ramabhadran and his friend Mayin Kutty set out to humiliate Malu, Achamma's granddaughter. Their schemes reveal Malu's vulnerability and create pressure around her relationship with Ramabhadran. This episode foreshadows how power and prejudice drive later actions.

Malu gets engaged to Shyam Prasad, a young state minister. Anjooran intervenes and threatens political consequences, causing the minister to withdraw from the engagement. The setback intensifies the feud between Anjooran and Achamma.

Achamma hatches a plan to divide Anjooran's family by having Malu seduce Ramabhadran and turn him against his father. While investigating the rift, Ramabhadran learns that Swaminathan leads a secret double life as Ramanathan, with a wife Kochammini and two children. This revelation shocks the family and threatens to drive a deeper wedge. Swaminathan promises to help unite him and Malu.

Anjooran learns of Ramabhadran's love for Malu and Swaminathan's deceit, and he ostracises both from the family. The divide reverberates through both Anjooran's house and the Anappara lineage, threatening the unity of both clans.

Achamma escalates the plan by deciding to marry Malu to the family's advocate's son. She signals that the house is divided and uses this to press her advantage. Her maneuvers set the stage for the final confrontation.

Achamma sends her sons to beg Anjooran for help in stopping the marriage. Anjooran, though angry, agrees to consider the request. This marks a tentative reconciliation attempt.

Veerabhadran, Achamma's sympathetic youngest son, reveals to Ramabhadran the full extent of his mother's plan. This inside knowledge gives Ramabhadran leverage to act decisively. The revelation heightens the suspense ahead of the ceremony.

With the insider information, Ramabhadran sneaks into the marriage hall and confronts the plan, almost marrying Malu in the act. Achamma curses Anjooran for his perceived lack of vigilance. The moment becomes a turning point in the saga.

Ramabhadran finally reveals that his motive was to foil the plan and protect his father's honor rather than to wed Malu. Anjooran laments his earlier vigilance and relents, permitting the wedding. Reconciliation begins to heal the rift.

The marriage between Ramabhadran and Malu proceeds, and Anjooran welcomes both families back into the fold. He lifts the ban on women's entry, reopening the home to their presence and signaling a new era of harmony for the household. The tale closes with unity restored.
