Frank Murdoch, an insurance salesman, begins to feel deeply disillusioned by modern society. Overwhelmed by the cacophony of pop culture, television, and incessant chatter from talk radio, he struggles to find peace in his chaotic world.

The next day, Frank's frustration mounts when he finds his aging vehicle blocked by his neighbor's flashy sports car. When asked to move it, he feels a surge of irritation, reflecting his growing discontent with the world around him.

At home, Frank confronts the reality of his strained relationship with his ex-wife, Alison, and their daughter, Ava, who has developed into an entitled brat. This situation further intensifies Frank's already negative outlook on life.

In a shocking turn of events, Frank innocently requests a co-worker's address to send flowers and is unexpectedly fired from his job. This loss serves as another blow to his already deteriorating mental state.

Frank's despair deepens after a visit to his doctor, revealing a heartbreaking diagnosis: a terminal brain tumor. This news propels him into a bleak contemplation of both his life and his future.

That evening, while watching television, Frank becomes entranced by a talent show called American Superstarz. He witnesses contestant Steven Clark getting ridiculed, intensifying his feelings of hopelessness and despair.

Faced with a dark epiphany, Frank decides to take drastic action by stealing his neighbor's car. He drives to Chloe's school and, despite a failed attempt to blow up her vehicle, he ultimately murders her, marking his descent into violence.

Witnessing the murder, fellow student Roxy misinterprets Frank's intentions and confronts him, leading to a tumultuous partnership. Roxy draws Frank further into a chaotic lifestyle filled with rage and revenge.

After developing a grim alliance with Roxy, Frank is encouraged to channel their anger towards Chloe's indifferent parents. He executes Chloe's father, while Roxy kills her mother, further solidifying their bond through violence.

Their rampage continues as they attend a documentary screening about the Mỹ Lai Massacre, only to be interrupted by rowdy teenagers. In a fit of rage, Frank and Roxy open fire, leaving one survivor and further embracing their violent path.

Frank's killing spree escalates as they target people who symbolize everything they despise. They eliminate individuals such as double-parkers and far-right protesters, showcasing their shared animosity toward society.

Amid their chaotic existence, Roxy proposes they escape to France, dreaming of a life raising goats and making cheese. Frank momentarily entertains this fantasy until the harsh reality of their crimes disrupts the illusion.

Frank's world shatters when he learns that his tumor had been mistakenly diagnosed. Breakfast at a diner leads to an identification error regarding Roxy, revealing the fractures in their relationship and deeper issues within Roxy’s life.

In a brief moment of understanding, Frank calls Roxy beautiful, but peace is transient. Their relationship plunges back into chaos as they unleash violence once more, culminating in a disastrous confrontation in front of a live audience.

As the violent chaos reaches its climax, police arrive just in time to witness the bloody massacre within the studio. Frank and Roxy’s destructive journey ends tragically, leaving a grim reminder of their choices in a decaying society.
