When local political leader Dass attacked Veera at the temple, Keerthi stepped forward to defend him despite being outnumbered. She revealed her true strength and warned Dass that if he tried to hurt Veera again, he would have to go through her first. This act of bravery was necessary to protect her husband and established her respect in the village.

Earlier, Keerthi's family had worried about her wrestling career making marriage difficult, hinting at her hidden strength.

When Ratnam was released from prison and visited Keerthi, he mocked her new status in the village, insulting her. Keerthi slapped him in anger. Ratnam secretly filed divorce papers, while Lokesh arranged for Veera to fight Keerthi to boost his coaching business.
