Fukrey Returns (2017) Spoiler-Free Summary – What It's About

In the bustling heart of Delhi, a close‑knit quartet of friends has finally settled into a comfortable rhythm after their college days. Vikas "Hunny" Gulati is the pragmatic dreamer, always scheming the next step, while Dilip "Choocha" Singh roams the city with his wild imagination and uncanny intuition. Lali adds a spark of daring spontaneity, and Zafar balances the group with a more measured, cautious outlook. Their personal lives are equally lively, with Priya and Neetu as their supportive partners, each adding warmth and ambition to the mix.

Just as the friends begin to relish this newfound stability, the city’s chaotic pulse reminds them that peace is often fleeting. The unexpected release of Bholi Punjaban—a notorious figure with a reputation for stirring trouble—upends their routine. Desperate for money, she pulls the friends into a fresh wave of unpredictable events, promising both opportunity and pandemonium. The stakes feel suddenly higher, hinting at the return of old rivalries that once threatened their youthful ambitions.

The dynamic among the friends is the film’s beating heart. Hunny’s leadership, Choocha’s off‑beat visions, Lali’s fearless drive, and Zafar’s grounded sense of responsibility clash and complement each other in equal measure. Their interactions with Pandit, an eccentric mentor‑type figure, further enrich the tapestry of relationships, offering comic relief and occasional wisdom. Meanwhile, the romantic bonds with Priya and Neetu provide both grounding and motivation, underscoring the personal stakes behind every scheme.

Set against Delhi’s vibrant streets, the story blends rapid‑fire humor with heartfelt camaraderie. The tone remains light‑hearted and mischievous, inviting the audience to wonder how these four will navigate the unpredictable tide that Bholi Punjaban brings, and whether their unbreakable friendship can survive the next round of chaotic adventures.
