In a city still trembling from political upheaval, Istanbul’s winding streets and crowded bazaars pulse with an uneasy mix of hope and suspicion. The air is heavy with whispered rumors, graffiti that hints at rebellion, and a sense that every corner could be the site of a new flashpoint. Against this backdrop, the everyday lives of ordinary people are caught in the cross‑currents of forces far larger than themselves, creating a gritty, tense atmosphere that never quite lets the viewer relax.

​Kadir emerges from fifteen long years behind bars, his world reshaped by the harsh routines of prison and the lingering echo of a life once left behind. The state offers him a precarious chance at freedom, but it comes with a price: he must become an informant. This conditional liberty drapes his return in a shroud of uncertainty, as he steps back onto the streets that have moved on without him, forced to navigate a fragile truce between survival and conscience.

When ​Ahmet, his brother, appears living in a cramped shantytown, the reunion is anything but warm. Ahmet has retreated into a solitary existence, his days spent in a controversial program that rounds up stray dogs—a job that reflects the city’s own attempts to impose order on chaos. The brothers’ paths, once parallel, now diverge sharply, leaving Kadir to grapple with questions of loyalty, redemption, and the moral compromises required by both family and the state.
