Fear the Night

Tess, a battle-hardened veteran of the Iraq War, struggles with alcoholism as she returns to her family home in search of recovery. Tensions are palpable between her and her sister, Beth, but they attempt to set aside their differences for a family gathering.

The family gathers to celebrate the bachelorette party of Tess's younger sister, Rose, at their family farm. Despite the festive atmosphere, Tess feels uneasy and keeps her distance, observing the peculiar behaviors of the house's caretakers.

Feeling overwhelmed by the party, Tess steps outside for a much-needed moment of solitude. This triggers a confrontation with Beth, who accuses Tess of ruining Rose's special day.

Amidst the festivities, a group of attackers suddenly storms the party, resulting in chaos. Rose is fatally struck by a crossbow bolt, leading Tess into a panicked rush to bring her sister's body back into the house.

The women decide that Mia should attempt to escape and contact the authorities. Before she leaves, she confesses her feelings for Tess, adding emotional stakes to an already dire situation.

Mia successfully lures one of their attackers away but soon finds herself in a deadly face-off. In a fight for her life, she manages to kill her assailant, illustrating the harsh realities of their circumstance.

Desperation ensues when someone knocks on the door; Divya opens it, mistaking the intruder for Tess. Tragically, she is shot by Perry, the leader of the attackers, escalating the chaos inside the house.

While searching for a way to turn the tide, Tess uncovers that the caretakers are implicated in drug operations for Perry. Their deception led to the attack on the women, creating a complex web of danger.

As the attack intensifies, both Beth and Bridget attempt negotiation with Perry, but it ends tragically. Bridget is killed in cold blood, leaving Tess and the remaining women in a state of utter fear and disbelief.

In a tense climax, Tess confronts Perry, fighting fiercely to protect the few survivors. After a brutal encounter, she ultimately emerges victorious, defeating him and ending the immediate threat.

Back in town, Tess recounts the night's events with slight embellishments to the authorities in an effort to ensure safety for herself and the other women. Suspicion looms from the sheriff, but they are ultimately allowed to leave, hinting at further challenges ahead.
