After being expelled from the police academy, Debbie Fung (Ellen Chan) is recruited for an undercover assignment. Assuming the alias Maryanne, she infiltrates the household of wealthy tycoon Lau Fuk Tin (Michael Wong), who is suspected of multiple murders of women. As she lives with Lau, Debbie witnesses disturbing events and begins to develop unexpected feelings for her target, complicating the investigation.
