A lawyer named Zhang, now hardened and driven, confronts a disturbing revelation: his former client, Tang, is accused of another sexual assault. Years earlier, as a young and ambitious lawyer mentored by Tu, Zhang's skillful defense secured Tang's exoneration. However, the intense cross-examination of the victim left a lasting trauma. Haunted by guilt and seeking redemption, Zhang decides to pursue justice, facing opposition from his former mentor and the man he once defended.
