American fund manager Millie Cantwell decides to pursue her lifelong dream of becoming an opera singer. She quits her lucrative job in London, turning down a promotion to dedicate a year to intense vocal training.

Millie relocates to the Scottish Highlands, leaving her boyfriend Charlie behind. She seeks the guidance of former opera diva Meghan Geoffrey-Bishop for her vocal training.
