A British TV crew sets out to document the unexplained deaths in a remote Siberian forest. The team includes host Kate Hansen, cameraman Matt Hurst, and technician David Hamilton. They are later joined by Ruth Peacock, a psychic, and Yuri Levkov, a Russian author.

Ruth suddenly makes contact with several ghosts who speak to her in Russian. The visions overwhelm her as she experiences the brutal history of the place. The presence hints at a dangerous, unresolved past haunting the expedition.

Ruth urges the group to push further east toward what Yuri claims is an abandoned facility. She explains that the visions push her to seek out the site. The team reluctantly follows, drawn by Ruth's psychic pull.

Upon reaching the facility, the crew hears distant, echoing screams. Ruth wants to turn back, but Kate persuades the team to press on, hoping to uncover the truth behind the haunting. The atmosphere tightens as fear grows.

Inside the facility, they discover cages and cells reflecting a brutal past. Ruth again hears Russian voices while Yuri translates a warning to leave. The danger feels palpable as they venture deeper into the building.

Ruth identifies the presence in the cells as Mischka, a dead prisoner tortured by soldiers. The psychic energy surrounding Mischka is immense, pulling Ruth into a perilous connection with the long-dead inmate.

Mischka grows increasingly hostile and begins targeting the living. In the chaos, David disappears, leaving the others anxious and searching for him. The group regroups in a control room to review their footage.

In the control room, they review their footage and catch fleeting images of both Mischka and David. Matt insists they find David, while Ruth is exhausted and seeks rest. Yuri confesses he has been here before and is testing Ruth's abilities.

Kate and Matt decide to search for David, guided by David's supposed voice in Ruth's visions. Yuri watches over Ruth as she sleeps, hinting at ulterior motives. The team moves deeper into the facility, driven by necessity.

Mischka violently kills David in front of Matt and Kate, shocking the survivors. They retreat back toward the control room, realizing the threat is escalating. The haunting takes a personal turn as the danger tightens around them.

In the control room, Yuri takes Ruth hostage and demands that she help free the spirit of his lost girlfriend, whom he believes died here. The conflict escalates as the team grapples with a malevolent force and personal agendas.

As they descend further, Mischka's hostility rises and Yuri sees the ghost of his girlfriend. Mischka savagely beats and kills Yuri, signaling the facility's merciless grip. Ruth remains determined to finish what she started.

Ruth directs Matt and Kate to leave the facility, intending to calm the haunting. She works to cross Mischka over, and for a moment the place seems safe. The team begins to separate, unsure of what awaits them outside.

Matt and Kate return to recover their equipment, but the footage reveals Ruth's battle with Mischka. Kate fears for Matt, only to find him dead. Ruth, now possessed by Mischka, kills Kate, condemning the survivors to wander the corridors as ghosts.
