In a masterful final effort, he manages to land Sky Korea 501 safely, after a harrowing struggle with the aircraft’s limited resources and the urgency to save everyone onboard. The landing is a bittersweet victory—many lives are saved, but the tragedy and loss remain profound. The film closes with a reflection on how human cruelty and obsession with control, as exemplified by Ryu Jin-seok’s actions, can lead to destructive consequences.
