Sergio, a drama teacher, works only with children, using his classes to reveal parts of his own life and the personalities of his young pupils. He believes pain outweighs fear and that children can only portray childhood truth; they cannot convincingly become policemen, elders or prostitutes. Their unique advantage is the ability to be genuinely childlike, making animals their only real competitors.
