Dragon Quest: Your Story

Queen Mada is kidnapped by monsters in Gotha, plunging the kingdom into crisis. King Pankraz sets out to rescue her, taking along their young son Luca. This mission marks the beginning of Luca's long, perilous journey.

During their travels, Luca meets Bianca and the two form a bond. They acquire the Golden Orb and a sabrecat cub they name Purrcy, companions for the road ahead.

Coburg's Prince Harry is abducted by the monsters, prompting Pankraz and Luca to press on in pursuit. They chase the captors across various lands to rescue both Mada and Harry.

Bishop Ladja ambushes the party and kills Pankraz. Luca and Harry are captured and enslaved, beginning years of brutal servitude.

After ten years as slaves, Luca and Harry make their daring escape. Harry returns to Coburg, while Luca reunites with his companions—Purrcy, Sancho, and a slime named Gootrude.

Ladja schemes to free Grandmaster Nimzo, who lies trapped in the Demon World. He abducted Mada to leverage her Zenithian lineage to open a mysterious portal.

To seal the portal, Luca must obtain the Zenithian Sword owned by Rodrigo Briscoletti in Mostroferrato. The town is beset by Bjørn the Behemoose, who stole the weapon.

Luca defeats Bjørn with Bianca's help, but he cannot yet wield the sword, proving he is not the Legendary Hero. He becomes betrothed to Nera, Briscoletti's daughter, until a disguised Nera reveals Bianca is the true love.

Luca and Bianca marry and later have a son named Alus. Shortly after, monsters attack and Ladja turns Luca and Bianca to stone.

Eight years pass and Alus uses the Stolos' staff to revive his father Luca. It is revealed that Alus is the true Legendary Hero destined to seal the portal.

The group seeks Dr. Agon, who could morph into the Zenith Dragon if given the Golden Orb. The Orb Luca found as a child is broken, and Agon recognizes it as a fake. He directs Luca to the fairies, who provide a counterfeit orb and send him back in time to switch it with the real one.

Joined by Bjørn and Harry's army, the heroes revive Bianca and prepare to face Ladja. They advance toward the portal, where Ladja dies and opens the gateway to the Demon World.

Ladja's death triggers the portal, but the surroundings warp into a mysterious being's creation. It reveals itself as a computer virus controlling what seems to be Dragon Quest V.

Gootrude unveils himself as the game's anti-virus program and provides Luca with a means to destroy the virus and restore the game, including Erdrick's sword for the fight against the virus.

The adventure ends as Luca's party reaches Gotha. He vows to keep this virtual journey in his heart, and a playful moment with Bianca reminds him of the pain and reality behind it all.
