Dominique (2024) Ending Explained – Final Scene & Meaning

In the end, Dominique manages to expose the corrupt police force and the cartel’s brutal activities, revealing the truth to the wider world. After a fierce confrontation at Gabriela’s mansion, she kills everyone involved, including the cartel members and Santiago’s men, sparing only Santiago’s wife in a moment of mercy. Her actions serve to bring justice for her fallen friends and family, and she ensures that the cycle of violence is disrupted for now.

Following her revenge, Dominique leaves the town and visits the small village of Tayrona, where she meets Pepe, a former gangster turned priest, who recognizes her as someone connected to his family. She entrusts him with a keepsake from Paulina—the bracelet—and shares a moment of quiet reflection. The film ends on a note of ambiguity: Will Dominique finally find peace and start a new life, free from her violent past? Or will her relentless quest for vengeance draw her back into the chaos she seeks to escape? The ending leaves this question open, hinting that her story might continue, tangled once again in a cycle of violence, suggesting that her journey for redemption might still be ongoing.
