Dhaam Dhoom

Gautham Subramaniam, a Chennai-based doctor, receives an offer from the Government of India to travel to Russia for a week-long medical conference, along with five other young doctors. He is delighted and starts packing for the trip. The opportunity sets the stage for an international journey that will test his loyalties and resolve.

Shenba, from the same village as Gautham's sister, enters the frame as his beloved. They fall in love, but their relationship remains secret due to family sensitivities. The budding romance adds emotional stakes to Gautham's upcoming journey.

Gautham faces initial friction from Sarasu's husband and other relatives, who question the match. Despite the rocky start, the father, uncle, and eventually the parents approve the alliance. The couples' future marriage is momentarily secured before the Russian trip.

Gautham arrives in Moscow, completes immigration, and is struck by the unfamiliar roads and buildings. He quickly realizes language barriers make conversations difficult, with Russian being the primary language. The city and its pace begin to challenge him.

Gautham notices Anna drop her jacket and helps return it, starting a casual acquaintance. They soon meet again, and the connection between them grows during the stay. The encounter marks the start of a tense, unfolding dynamic.

Gautham's conference proceeds successfully, and to celebrate, the medical team heads to a nightclub. He runs into Anna again and they share an enjoyable evening. Anna's intoxication complicates the situation as the night progresses.

The next morning, a Russian police officer brutalizes Gautham and reveals that Anna has been murdered on her sofa. Gautham is accused and imprisoned as investigators scramble to understand what happened. The incident marks a drastic turn in his Russian sojourn.

Aarthi Chinnappa is appointed as the defendant's lawyer, and the Indian consulate sends Raghavan Nambiar to secure Gautham's rescue. The legal battle is complicated by language barriers and jurisdictional hurdles. Gautham's fate hinges on a fragile network of support.

Desperate to escape, Gautham attempts to flee the police but nearly drowns in a lake. Aarthi rescues him at the shore, and their bond deepens as she kisses him, though she hides her feelings to protect Shenba.

Gautham and Aarthi travel through St. Petersburg, trying to uncover who murdered Anna and why he was entangled in the plot. They face danger, eluding mobs and a firearm incident as they piece together the clues.

They learn that Anna was a drug trafficker from Chennai and had hidden drugs in her coat. Raghavan had engineered her murder to silence the potential witness and protect his drug operation. The mob's involvement reveals a broader conspiracy.

In the final confrontation, Raghavan is killed by the police, and Gautham is cleared and freed. He returns to India to marry Shenba, reuniting with his beloved and ending the harrowing ordeal.
