Death Game

On his 40th birthday in October 1975, George Manning is home alone as a thunderstorm begins. Two drenched women, Jackson and Donna, arrive at his door claiming their car broke down and that they need to call a friend to pick them up. He invites them inside to dry off and make a call.

The women settle in and Jackson soon finds the bathroom sauna while Donna joins her. George, surprised but flattered, is drawn into a sexual encounter with the two guests. The situation shifts from casual hospitality to coercive intimacy.

George wakes to find the pair cooking breakfast and notices they have not left. They offer a vague excuse for why they stayed, and the unease in the house grows. The guests seem determined to remain in his home.

The guests rummage through the house, wear his wife's clothes, and vandalize belongings. George threatens to call the police, but Jackson claims they are underage and warns of statutory rape charges if discovered.

He makes another attempt to contact authorities, hoping to eject the intruders. Jackson agrees they will leave only if George drives them to a destination, using the threat of exposure to prolong their stay.

George drives the two women to a city bus stop on the opposite side of the Golden Gate Bridge. He returns home that night, relieved the ordeal might be over, only to discover they have not left him alone.

Shortly after his return, Jackson and Donna ambush George inside his home, knock him unconscious, and bind him with bedsheets. They begin a spree of physical and emotional abuse, trashing the interior and painting his wife's makeup on their faces.

They usher a grocery delivery courier into the living room, bludgeon him, and drown him in a fish tank. George struggles to escape and pleads for help, but finds himself unable to break free.

The two girls hold a mock trial to determine if George should be punished for the alleged sexual crimes. Jackson acts as both witness and judge, delivering a guilty verdict in a surreal courtroom they fabricate within the living room.

At midnight, Jackson declares the verdict and the plan to execute George at dawn. Donna holds him down while Jackson prepares to strike with a large cleaver.

At the last moment, Donna spares George's life and the pair flee the house laughing. They stroll into the neighborhood, oblivious to their surroundings.

As they wander the street, Jackson and Donna are struck head-on by a speeding van, ending their deadly rampage. George is left to cope with the traumatic events of the night.
