Dark Harvest

In 1962, the local teenage boys participate in the annual Halloween event known as the 'Run'. Their mission is to prevent a supernatural entity known as Sawtooth Jack from reaching the church before midnight.

Jim Shepard rises as the hero of the hour by slaying Sawtooth Jack. His victory not only earns him respect among his peers but also allows the boys to feast on the creature's candy-filled insides.

After defeating Sawtooth Jack, Jim and the boys receive a substantial reward of $25,000 and a brand new Chevrolet Corvette from the Harvesters Guild. The celebration highlights the spirit of camaraderie and accomplishment in the town.

Fast forward a year later, Officer Ricks discusses the upcoming Halloween Run with the local boys. Richie, Jim’s younger brother, is mentioned as a victor from the previous year, exempt from the talk.

Richie becomes infatuated with Kelly, a new girl in town, which leads him to feel an urge to join this year's Run. Despite warnings from his parents, the excitement pulls him toward danger.

After being bullied by his classmate Riley, Richie receives unsettling postcards and a letter from his deceased brother, Jim. Desperate, he tries to escape in a stolen vehicle but is caught by Officer Ricks.

A mysterious farmer resurrects a corpse and transforms it into Sawtooth Jack by stuffing it with candy and giving it a pumpkin head. The cycle of horror begins anew as Halloween approaches.

The town's tradition continues as the boys are locked away for three days and then unleashed on Halloween night. Armed with masks and improvised weapons, they hit the streets in search of Sawtooth Jack.

Richie sneaks out to join his friends but encounters Sawtooth Jack in a cornfield. Tragically, his friends Mitch and Charlie are killed by the creature while Richie narrowly escapes.

Bud, traumatized by the encounters, seeks refuge in a storm cellar, hoping to find safety. Unfortunately, Sawtooth Jack finds him, resulting in another gruesome death amidst the chaos.

Richie and Kelly take extreme measures by stealing a handgun from Officer Ricks' home and commandeering his patrol car. Their actions signify their desperation to survive against the emerging threat.

Officer Ricks uses his radio to direct Richie and Kelly towards Sawtooth Jack's location. In a shocking twist, Richie discovers that Sawtooth Jack is actually his brother Jim, turning their fight into a horrific family affair.

Richie ultimately faces the truth and shoots Sawtooth Jack—his brother Jim. This heartbreaking act finalizes the horror of their family curse as chaos reigns in the town.

As the town rejoices in victory over Sawtooth Jack, Richie and Kelly secretly plan their escape. However, their moment is interrupted by Officer Ricks, leading to a violent struggle.

After surviving an ambush, Richie is buried alive by a farmer, leading to a tragic twist of fate. The following year, Richie transforms into Sawtooth Jack as Dan slays the farmer, sealing the town's grim fate.
