As the story reaches its climax, Elodie faces a choice. She could have slain the dragon in revenge for her father’s death, but instead, she chooses compassion and forgiveness. Recognizing that the dragon had been wronged for centuries, she decides to save its life, sparing the creature from further violence. With the help of glowing bugs that possess regenerative powers, Elodie heals the wounded dragon, breaking the cycle of revenge and cruelty that had perpetuated for generations.

In the aftermath, the true villains are revealed: Queen Isabelle and Prince Henry, who had been complicit in the manipulations and sacrifices to cover up their own greed and cruelty. They attempt to destroy the dragon and eliminate Elodie to keep their secrets safe, but Elodie outsmarts them. She urges the people of Aurea to escape, unleashes her anger on her former tormentors, and destroys their plans with the dragon’s fury. Both Isabelle and Henry perish in the fire they helped unleash, their treachery leading to their deaths.

As Elodie, her sister Floria, and their stepmother leave Aurea, the dragon becomes a loyal companion, flying alongside them into a new future. The film ends with a sense of hope and justice, suggesting that true strength lies in compassion, truth, and standing up against evil. The cycle of lies and violence is finally broken, paving the way for a new beginning grounded in honesty and kindness.
