Daisy Town

While crossing the plains, a solitary daisy grows from the wasteland. The wagon train leader decides to establish a town on that site and names it Daisy Town in honor of the flower. The serendipitous flower marks the beginning of a settlement that will soon face danger from outlaws and ambition.

Lucky Luke rides into Daisy Town on Jolly Jumper and quickly settles most of the trouble in the saloon. His efficiency earns the townsfolk's attention and respect. The mood shifts from chaos to cautious optimism.

The mayor and several townsfolk invite Luke to become the town's sheriff. He accepts with a single word: 'Yep', signaling a commitment to protect Daisy Town. The town hopes his presence will deter criminals.

The Dalton Brothers begin robbing stores and blowing up the local hotel. Luke attempts to rally the townsfolk to stand up to them, but many residents are reluctant to fight their own. Frustrated, Luke renounces the sheriff's office, leaving the town vulnerable.

The Daltons decide to run for mayor, judge, and sheriff. Averell is reluctantly assigned as their campaign manager. Luke sees an opportunity to weaken them by turning Averell against his brothers.

The townsfolk tar and feather the Daltons and drive them out of Daisy Town. The humiliation foreshadows later schemes as the brothers plot revenge elsewhere. The exit marks a temporary peace, only to be followed by danger from a new source.

Some distance from town, the Daltons are accosted by Indians and taken captive. The encounter heightens the tension on the plains and hints at larger conflicts looming over the region.

Joe Dalton tells the tribal chief that settlers will bring ruin to the prairie, inflaming his anger. The Chief declares war on Daisy Town, moving the Daltons into a dangerous alliance with the tribe.

The tribe betrays the Daltons and hands them over to the town's authorities after the chief sees a wanted poster of them. Joe is blamed by his brothers for the failure, intensifying the brothers' internal conflict.

Lucky Luke observes the Indians' preparations for war and quickly alerts the townsfolk. He begins to formulate a counter-plan to protect Daisy Town from an assault.

Luke devises a plan to pretend the settlers are abandoning the town while loading conestoga wagons with armed men. The plan aims to lure the Indians into a feint and avoid a direct confrontation.

The wagons' movement confuses the Indians, who then call for a pow-wow. A peace treaty is reached and the town's future seems bright again. Just as the celebration starts, news arrives that gold has been found, triggering a mass exodus.

Everyone deserts Daisy Town for the gold, turning the town into a ghost town. Luke plucks the daisy from the sign and tucks it into Jolly Jumper's mane before riding off into the sunset, leaving the sign toppled in the dust.
