One night in Kasukabe, a mysterious giant monster bursts onto the scene and seems to crush the Nohara family without a trace. This spectacular disaster, however, is revealed to be a dream experienced by Shinnosuke Nohara as he clutches a soft vinyl toy named Sirimarudashi. When he tosses Sirimarudashi aside, the dream shifts to a new adventure, where an action-masked soft vinyl doll joins him in the fray. In this second dream, the young boy teams up with the masked hero to battle a vast army of monsters and to rescue Mimiko, a girl who learns the knowledge of justice from the action mask.

The next morning arrives with the usual routine: Misae Nohara prepares breakfast while Hiroshi Nohara heads to work, and the house wakes to a sleepy kindergartener ready for a new day. Yet the ordinary flow of life is interrupted when Shinnosuke misses the bus and Misae shuttles him to kindergarten by bike. Back at home, the mother, exhausted from daily life, dozes while cup ramen warms on the stove.

A strange illuminant dances in the air behind a hanging scroll, its glow carrying the faint scent of cup ramen and seemingly possessed by the Sirimarudashi doll lying nearby. The mysterious light introduces Miraiman, a space-time coordinator from the future, who explains that he did not intend to visit the Nohara family but became drawn here by hunger and the pull of destiny. This visitor barely reveals his true nature before the family is swept three minutes into the future through the scroll’s back, arriving on a rooftop near Tokyo Tower where a cocoon-like form levitates and monsters begin to assault the city.

Miraiman explains that the monsters proliferate because space-time has been disturbed. If they do not travel three minutes ahead and confront the threat, the crisis will become a harsh reality in their present. With the power of Miraiman’s transformation and the heart of justice embedded in the Sirimarudashi doll, the Nohara family joins forces with heroic allies—Kazama and Shiro in this shared, bold mission—to exterminate the invading creatures and restore balance to the world. Alongside them, the team calls upon the confidant aid of Action Mask, the agile Kantam Robo, and the quirky sketches of Buriburizaemon to push back the invaders and seal the rift in time.

But the price of victory is high. The parents become deeply captivated by the other world, spending ever more time there and beginning to neglect their real-life responsibilities. Shinnosuke, now forced to shoulder more of the parental load, steps forward to protect his little sister Himawari Nohara, whose daily life hangs in the balance as the drama unfolds. The danger grows; teachers at the kindergarten notice the family’s odd behavior, and news arrives of a partially collapsed department store in Kasukabe, with Kazama’s mother among the injured. Returning home, Shinnosuke finds Hiroshi and Misae injured by the earlier encounter, and a second, more powerful monster emerges—one that tests the family’s resolve and the limits of their courage. If they falter, the present could be overwhelmed by the creatures’ onslaught. Yet Nohara pride and stubborn love push the boy onward, determined to safeguard Himawari’s future and help her grow into her own life, supported now by the family’s reunited unity.

When hope seems dim, the team discovers a slime-like foe that blocks their path.
