After being chased out of town for selling worthless stock, two con men drift into the quiet community of Chesterville. Mistakenly accused of kidnapping a boy they had simply given a ride, they clear the misunderstanding and then devise a scheme to swindle the townspeople by offloading all of their valueless paper.
