The story unfolds at a picturesque ski resort in Gstaad, where three distinct narratives intertwine. At the forefront, we have Fabrizio Barbetti (Christian De Sica) and Lisa Pinzoni (Sabrina Ferilli), two doctors whose tumultuous past as ex-spouses is marred by endless disputes, so much so that their enmity spills over into public confrontations, including those broadcasted on live television. As fate would have it, both Fabrizio and Lisa unknowingly plan to spend their Christmas holiday with their new partners in the same resort in Switzerland. Comedy arises as they repeatedly cross paths, leading to a rekindling of old love as they devise a scheme to have their respective partners fall for each other, intending to break free from their current relationships. Little do they realize, however, that Angela (Fabrizio’s new wife) and Gabriele (Lisa’s current husband) are not faithful; they have been having an affair for a year, already in a relationship, and have orchestrated this vacation to make Fabrizio and Lisa reconsider their feelings for one another.
In another entwined plotline, we have Concetta La Rosa (played by Anna Maria Barbera), a devoted soap opera aficionado, who wins an all-expenses-paid trip to the resort alongside actor Ronn Moss. In a series of comical events, Concetta inadvertently conks Ronn on the head with a frying pan, leading to him waking up with complete amnesia regarding his own identity. Seizing this unexpected opportunity, Concetta persuades him that they are married. Their holiday takes a steamy turn as they engage in romantic escapades in Ronn’s hotel room. Upon their return flight to Italy, Concetta confesses her deception while he sleeps, only for Ronn to overhear her words. Demonstrating a remarkable sense of forgiveness, he decides to attend a party with her to impress her friends before heading back to his life in Los Angeles.
Simultaneously, we delve into the story of Guido Baldi (portrayed by Massimo Boldi), an aging race car driver embroiled in an affair with a significantly younger woman named Sofia (Alena Seredova). Seeking refuge with Sofia at the same ski resort, Guido is met with a surprise encounter: his 24-year-old daughter Monica (Cristiana Capotondi) and her considerably older boyfriend Brad LaGuardia (Danny Devito). Unbeknownst to Guido, Brad is an actor hired by Monica, who wishes to halt her father's decline into infidelity and save his marriage. Ultimately, Guido's strong reaction to Brad's presence nudges Sofia to exit his life, fulfilling Monica's plan.
