Claire, a venture capitalist from New York City, seeks a holiday escape in a charming Vermont town and finds herself a guest at the Fortenbury Bookstore. The town's Christmas festivities have been canceled due to a recent flood, and the bookstore is struggling. Claire takes on the challenge of reviving the store, but her modern ideas clash with the cautious approach of the owner, Andrew. As they work together, a budding romance develops, and Claire’s enthusiasm inspires Andrew to embrace the joy of Christmas. However, Claire discovers Andrew intends to sell the bookstore, threatening to end a beloved local tradition.
