Mis. Khan is Khokon’s mother who bears the weight of grief for her missing son and mourning the loss of her husband. Her love for her child and her sorrow frame the emotional core of the family and community in the story. Her state—wrenching yet resilient—reflects the social cost of neglect and tragedy. She is the emotional beacon around which the home collapses when the boy disappears.

Anguri ma'am is a teacher at Nilgiri Multipurpose High School who embodies care for her students. She participates in the effort to restore order at the school and is among the first to discover Khokon’s body, bringing the tragedy into the open.
