Karthik's parents refused to donate their son's heart initially because they were in deep grief over losing their son. They found it difficult to accept that his body would be opened and his heart removed, even though he was already brain dead. Ajmal (who was with Karthik when the accident happened) and Karthik's girlfriend Aditi convinced them that donating the heart would allow their son to save another life, ultimately leading them to consent.

With no chartered flights or helicopters available, the heart had to be transported by road over 150 kilometers in under two hours during rush hour. Police Commissioner Sundarapandian assigned Traffic Constable Satyamoorthy to drive, accompanied by Dr. Robin Joseph (who had the heart) and Ajmal. Despite losing connection, the vehicle disappearing, and Pandian canceling the mission, Satyamoorthy trusted his instincts and took his own route, eventually re-establishing connection and reaching Vellore Hospital just in time.

Earlier in the day, Satyamoorthy is shown returning to duty after his suspension, establishing his driving skills and need for redemption.

Dr. Robin Joseph discovered that his wife Swetha was having an affair with his best friend. Overcome by rage and betrayal, he attempted to kill her before being persuaded to join the heart transport mission. This dark secret is revealed during the journey, creating tension as Robin initially tries to sabotage the mission to escape police attention.

When Robin's dark secret about attempting to kill his wife was revealed, he tried to sabotage the mission to escape and flee from the police. Gautham's wife intervened and pleaded with him to save their daughter Ria's life, emphasizing that the heart was the only chance for their child. This emotional appeal made Robin reconsider and refocus on completing the mission.

Satyamoorthy was suspended from the police force for taking bribes. His return to duty at the beginning of the film marks his attempt at redemption. This background motivates him to volunteer for the dangerous heart transport mission, as he sees it as an opportunity to prove his worth and restore his reputation.

The heart can only remain viable for transplantation for approximately 4-6 hours after being removed from a donor. With the distance being 150 kilometers and rush hour traffic, the team had less than two hours to complete the journey. Meanwhile, Gautham's daughter Ria's condition was rapidly deteriorating, making every minute crucial.

Ajmal was traveling with Karthik on a bike when they were hit by the speeding car at the traffic junction. He survived the accident and was also taken to Global Hospital. Since he was present when Karthik was declared brain dead and helped persuade Karthik's parents to donate the heart, he became emotionally invested in ensuring the mission succeeded. He accompanied the transport team as a way to honor his friend's sacrifice.
