Ashokan, Musthafa, Asif and Thomas are political goons on the run after a dangerous misstep pulls them into a bigger web of intrigue. When [Musthafa] calls for help, he asks [Arun], a medical student and the son of a late veteran communist party leader, to provide first aid to [Ashokan] after what looks like a rough jeep mishap. [Arun] arrives with his friend Sooraj on a bike, armed with basic medical supplies and a wary sense of what they’re stepping into.

From the start, Arun questions the plausibility of the injuries—there’s more to the story than a simple repair job—but the group keeps quiet, promising to let him finish before they part ways. Amid the tension, it becomes clear that [Ashokan] is taking orders from GK, a party leader who seems to pull the strings behind their flight. The four men circle a series of secret checkpoints to avoid attention, eventually heading for a secluded house where they pause for a hurried lunch. Arun, frightened and keeping his distance, overhears a chilling exchange that reveals the true motive behind their flight: they are running after allegedly killing a Theyyam performer named Kiran.

Arun’s suspicions grow when he confronts [Musthafa] about the Kiran incident; the reply is curt and paradoxical—“it was for the party.” The aftermath is immediate and brutal: protests erupt across the town, and the police close in, hungry for answers. As the tension tightens, GK calls [Ashokan], warning him that their movements are being traced and that an exit is imperative. In a reckless bid to erase their tracks, [Thomas] tries to dispose of a bomb by tossing it into a well, only for the device to detonate inside the water, amplifying the danger.

The net tightens when the police capture [Sooraj], who refuses to divulge [Arun]’s name and insists he knows nothing of the group’s latest movements. [Arun] manages a narrow escape from the ensuing chaos and seeks refuge at a house, where a simple request for water returns him to the grim reality of their fugitives’ life. Meanwhile, [Ashokan] and the others grow anxious about the possibility that Arun could betray them, and they intensify their search to bring him back into the fold.

That night, [Ashokan] links up with another party leader, Mukundan, demanding that people surrender to the police or be exposed for other political killings—the kind of pressure that underscores the dangerous bargains they’ve all made. [Asif] and [Thomas] drift apart from the core group, retreating to a distant hideout in the hills as the stakes rise and GK’s influence looms larger. In the background, Mukundan calls GK and assures him that he’ll handle the fallout, further revealing the widespread web of loyalties and betrayals surrounding the affair. The tension peaks when [Asif] is killed in a hit-and-run on his way home, a brutal reminder of how fragile the trio’s world has become.

Musthafa’s perspective mutates as he discovers a disturbing truth: GK engineered the killing of Kiran because Kiran’s daughter was in a relationship with him, a union that crossed caste lines and stirred up political peril. This revelation makes Musthafa question not only the safety of Arun and Ashokan but also whether they themselves have been used as pawns in GK’s broader strategy. Fearing that Ashokan might be complicit, Musthafa orders Arun to run and confront the man—only to be met with gunfire from unseen assailants.

As Ashokan learns of GK’s treachery, he decides to cut ties and flee, but GK’s henchmen close in on the hillside hideout. In a tense confrontation, Musthafa wrestles control of a hunting rifle and reunites with Ashokan as the attackers converge. A volley of shots punctures the night air: a stray bullet strikes Musthafa in the shoulder while Ashokan fires back, taking down several assailants but sustaining grave injuries himself. A desperate chase ensues as Arun, pursued by a second henchman, makes his way back toward the house where the others have taken shelter.

With the odds stacked against them, Ashokan hands Arun the jeep keys and urges him to run, to leave the danger behind and survive. In the skirmish that follows, both [Ashokan] and Musthafa are unable to recover from their wounds, succumbing to the injuries they sustained in the firefight. Arun, battered but alive, escapes the mountainous territory just as one of the pursuing attackers is blown up near an electrified fence, creating a dramatic barrier that seals his survival.

What began as a tense, on-the-run scenario escalates into a grim revelation about treachery, loyalty, and the high costs of political machinations. The lines between friend and foe blur as each character’s choices ripple outward, leaving Arun to carry on alone, bearing the weight of a truth that was never meant to be fully exposed.
