Heidi Fleiss, dubbed “The Hollywood Madam”, was the daughter of a prominent Los Angeles doctor who entered the prostitution world as an employee of a well‑known madam. She soon took over the operation, earning about $300,000 a month by supplying elite escort services to Hollywood celebrities, corporate executives and foreign dignitaries. In 1993 Los Angeles police shut down the ring, and Fleiss was later convicted of income‑tax evasion.
