Herman, a high‑school student, works as a delivery boy for a flower shop. One afternoon he brings a bouquet to Rosa Stern, a woman in her early‑forties who lives behind heavy curtains in a dim, mysterious apartment. Over the following weeks he continues delivering flowers to her, and Rosa’s increasingly regular visits become a significant presence in his life.
