Brij Mohan Amar Rahe!

Brij Mohan Gupta, a man in his mid-30s, is unhappy with his life and financial strain. He keeps a 24-year-old mistress, Simmi, while his wife Sweety dominates the household. Debt and ambition push him toward risky schemes to improve his situation.

To secure quick cash, Brij takes a loan of 2.5 million from Raghu via a deal arranged by Suri. Suri sells off Brij's old material and leaves him to pay Raghu, creating a trap he can't easily escape. Raghu begins threatening and harassing Brij as the scheme spirals.

Brij contemplates faking his death to escape debt and Raghu's pressure. He searches for a body that could pass for him but cannot find a perfect match. The plan lingers as he tries to prepare the ground for a convincing disappearance.

During a heated quarrel Brij pushes Raghu down the stairs, nearly killing him. The act crystallizes his decision to go through with the death faking scheme. Raghu's threats have pushed Brij into desperation.

Brij ties Raghu to his car and sets it on fire, burning Raghu alive to complete the ruse. He then adopts the alias Amar Sethi, shaving his head and beard to shed his former identity.

Now Amar Sethi, Brij hides in a small hotel with Simmi. They stash the stolen money in Raghu's locker and keep quiet to avoid detection. Brij plays the role of a grieving, vanished husband while quietly collecting his gains.

Sweety's actions—particularly a false cheque—draw the police toward Brij's disappearance. Inspector Beniwal becomes involved as the investigation starts to take shape. The case tightens around the idea that Brij is gone for good.

Simmi discovers cash and tries to run away with it, hoping to secure a better life. Brij confronts her in their room, and in a struggle he kills her. Her death eliminates a potential competitor for the money and complicates the investigation.

Police locate Raghu's burnt corpse and declare it Brij's, aided by the presence of Raghu's gold tooth identified by Sweety. The identification helps cement the belief that Brij is dead and allows the cover story to stand. The investigation starts to hinge on this accidental resemblance.

Following the presumed death, funeral rites are performed for Brij. The ceremony reinforces the belief that Brij is truly gone, while Beniwal and Sweety observe the proceedings. The town's mood shifts as the case appears closed on the surface.

A missing mobile phone report prompts authorities to arrest Amar on charges of robbing the phone. Amar insists he knows nothing about the disappearance. The case threads into a deeper mystery about who Brij really is.

Beniwal learns from Sweety that Amar is actually Brij but keeps the truth to himself at first. After a tense interrogation, Amar eventually admits he is Brij, though the police are skeptical. Brij is sentenced to life imprisonment, but Beniwal uses a payoff to free him; he then escapes with the stolen money.

The judge, enraged by Brij's escape and the lost money, declares that Amar must be hanged for Brij's murder. The verdict closes the legal chase but leaves Brij at large in spirit, with the system baying for his blood.
