Bomb Disposal Officer: Baby Bomb

An Easter bombing occurs at a department store in East Kowloon, connected to a cheating married woman and her lover who are strapped with bombs inside an abandoned godown. Bomb disposal officers John Wu and Peter Chan are dispatched and successfully dismantle the explosives. The event establishes the presence of a dangerous but flawed bomber that the team will pursue.

That night, John and Peter drink at a bar and lose a game of Jenga. They soon encounter Mary, a young woman dumped by her boyfriend, and invite her to stay with them for the night. They even rent her their storage room afterward.

The next day at the police briefing, Peter reports that recent bombs use the same model, and they conclude the bomber is dangerous but not highly skilled, driven by attention seeking tendencies. John and Peter realize they are dealing with a bomber who seeks recognition. They are assigned to write a report about the bomber for the Regional Crime Unit to set up a special team.

Mary, while handing out flyers at Galaxy Restaurant, has her wallet stolen and is befriended by a group of Christians. They bring her to John and Peter's home at night and push them to join in their activities, including praying for an injured person at the hospital all night.

The next day John and Peter are summoned to a restaurant in Tsim Sha Tsui where they successfully dispose another bomb. The incident draws media attention and the bomber, who is a school staff member, notices the disposal.

That evening Mary plans on treating John and Peter to dinner at Galaxy Restaurant but is fired by her boss for alleged theft. The trio trash the restaurant, go to a bar, win a bet squeezing orange juice, get drunk, and end up sleeping on the same bed back at home.

Peter and John worry that Mary may become pregnant by both of them, so Mary decides to return to Canada to avoid their complicated situation.

The chief of the Regional Crime Unit decides to disband the special task force since no crimes occur for a period. Shortly after, the chief opens a mail that explodes and seriously injures him.

Mary returns from Canada and announces she is pregnant, leaving John and Peter unsure about becoming fathers. She moves in with their neighbor Ken, but a colleague who is a father to a newborn influences her and she eventually decides to move back with them.

The bomber leaves a bomb in a minibus, causing the vehicle to flip and spook everyone. A mother and her infant are trapped, but John and Peter manage to rescue the baby while the mother perishes.

John publicly curses the mad bomber on a reporter's camera, which enrages the bomber who has been watching the news.

Peter and John bring Mary to check her baby at the hospital after work. They find their department office has been blown up by a mail bomb. They rush to stop Mary from opening mail at home, discovering it is not a bomb but a letter from her mother. The bomber, disguised as a nurse in the X ray room, attaches a bomb to Mary that is triggered by labor pains. John tackles the bomber, who is killed by a shot, while Peter disposes the bomb and helps Mary deliver her baby; John maintains a pulse to keep the bomb steady and finally cuts the red wire as the infant is born.
