Blood Rage

In 1974 at a drive-in theater, Terry is triggered by his mother's kiss and murders a teenager having sex in the backseat with a hatchet. He frames his twin brother Todd by smearing blood on him and placing the hatchet in Todd's hand. The brutal act lands Todd in custody and later in an asylum.

Todd is found guilty of the drive-in murder and is committed to a psychiatric asylum. The verdict shatters his life and creates a decades-long silence around the brothers' true identities. The system's failure sets the stage for Terry's continued freedom and deception.

Ten years later, Terry lives with his mother Maddy in Shadow Woods. He learns that Todd may have escaped and could be returning, triggering further paranoia. Brad, Maddy's fiancé, moves into the complex, becoming a new obstacle for Terry.

Terry murders Brad by severing his right hand with a machete and then decapitates him, demonstrating his willingness to use extreme violence again. He immediately plans to frame Todd once more. The murder intensifies his control over the situation in Shadow Woods.

Dr. Berman and her assistant Jackie arrive at Shadow Woods looking for Todd. Terry greets Jackie before killing her with his machete, and then slices Dr. Berman in half in the woods. He discards his bloody shirt and changes into a vest to avoid leaving traces.

Terry visits Andrea's apartment; Andrea tries to seduce him, but he remains uninterested as Julie and Bill return home. Karen bumps into Todd and learns his true identity, prompting him to confirm it to her. Karen flees to tell her friends about the threat.

Todd vanishes into the night as Karen spreads the word about the killer twins. Maddy begins to panic and drink, fearing for her son and the future. The tension in Shadow Woods intensifies as neighbors try to make sense of the murders.

Todd locates Dr. Berman's body and takes her gun, setting out to confront his murderous twin. He steels himself for the dangerous confrontation and searches Shadow Woods for Terry.

Terry arrives at Andrea's and decapitates Bill, then stabs Julie to death. The murder spree continues as more victims fall into his hands. The threat to Shadow Woods grows more personal and violent.

Terry spies on Gregg and Andrea playing tennis, then murders both of them by the swimming pool. The poolside carnage heightens fear among the residents of Shadow Woods.

Artie finds the bodies of Gregg and Andrea and is confronted by Todd, who tries to persuade him that Terry is the killer. As they search for Todd, Terry appears and stabs Artie in the neck with a carving fork. The body count continues to climb and loyalties blur.

Karen learns the truth about the twins and heads to Julie's house, where she discovers Julie dead and takes the baby to keep it safe. The baby becomes a focal point of the survivors' scramble to protect someone innocent from the massacre.

A very drunk Maddy discovers Terry's blood-stained shirt in the garbage and then finds Brad's body, triggering a police call and a chilling reminder that the danger still roams Shadow Woods. The family begins to fracture under the weight of the murders.

Terry corners Karen with the baby near the pool as Todd arrives to intervene. Karen pulls Todd from the water, and Maddy appears and shoots Terry, believing she has killed Todd. The scene leaves the timeline of who lives or dies unsettled for a moment longer.

Realizing the tragedy, Maddy shoots herself after realizing she killed Terry instead of Todd. Police sirens rise in the distance, leaving Todd's fate open to interpretation and closing the film on a haunting, unresolved note.
