Martin Behrens, a Middle East expert for the German intelligence agency BND, uncovers information that leads to a U.S. drone strike in Zahiristan. Following the strike, a terrorist attack occurs at a restaurant, with the perpetrators claiming it’s retaliation. Tragically, freelance journalist Aurice, Martin's lover and an investigator exposing corruption within the BND, is among the victims. As Martin delves deeper, he confronts a complex world where the lines between right and wrong blur, and powerful corporations benefit from both arms deals and homeland security.
