Satya [Subhasish Mukherjee], the loyal servant, wakes Sidhu in the morning while Sidhu’s mother Lakshmi [Laboni Sarkar] fills the air with a devotional song as she cooks. As he begins to know Priya, he realizes how much joy he finds in the little, everyday moments she brings into his life. He gathers the courage to share his dilemma with her: he is engaged to Manasi but yearns for Priya. Priya’s response is complicated but ultimately hopeful; she asks him to do what he truly desires, and she agrees to meet his decision with an open heart. To move forward, Sidhu invites Priya to stay at his house for a week, telling a small white lie about a college tour to her father. As Priya settles into the family routine, she gradually wins over one relative after another, even though the atmosphere in Arvind’s home remains stern and controlled. The tension between Sidhu’s longing for independence and Arvind’s authority continues to simmer, with Arvind voicing his disapproval whenever Sidhu hints at pursuing his own loan-approved path to a career. The family’s bond is briefly brightened during a wedding they attend, where Priya’s playful nature brings warmth to the proceedings. However, the past has a way of catching up: Kanaka Rao, Priya’s father, recognizes Sidhu as the drunken young man from a prior encounter, bringing a shadow over the moment. Priya, confronted with this reality, initially withdraws, deciding she cannot pretend to be someone she is not in Sidhu’s world.

Back home, Priya’s departure reframes the stakes. Lakshmi confronts Arvind, urging him to loosen the reins and let Sidhu chart his own course. Sidhu, in a heartfelt moment, reveals his innermost feelings, and Arvind begins to understand the implications of his overbearing approach. The emotional toll of their stalemate becomes clear as Sidhu asks Manasi and her family to call off the engagement, signaling a shift in priorities. In response, Arvind seeks a path to bridge the gap by proposing that Kanaka Rao reassess the situation and allow Sidhu and Priya a chance to prove themselves. The plan is for Sidhu and Priya to live in the family home for a week, a test of compatibility and commitment that echoes the film’s opening question about the durability of parental control in a grown child’s life. As the story returns to the earlier scene of tension and possibility, viewers are left with a hopeful sense that Sidhu and Priya’s relationship has a legitimate chance to blossom into a lasting, happy marriage.
