Batman vs. Two-Face

Batman and Robin witness a top-secret demonstration of the Evil Extractor, a device created by Hugo Strange and Dr. Harleen Quinzel. The machine siphons evil from criminals and stores it in a containment vat. The showcase sets the stage for the chain of events that follows.

During the demonstration, the containment vat explodes, drenching Harvey Dent in liquefied evil. The accident scars half his face and triggers a split in his personality, giving birth to the criminal Two-Face. Batman and Robin realize this new threat is connected to their old foe.

Dent's early confrontations with Batman and Robin leave him frustrated, but a reconstructive surgery later erases the Two-Face persona. The operation restores Dent's appearance and allows him to fade back into public life. He resumes a public-facing role as the assistant to the District Attorney, still under close scrutiny.

Six months pass and Batman and Robin capture King Tut and his henchmen for stealing a biplane. The duo's vigilantism expands Gotham's rogues gallery and triggers new investigations. The case brings Tut's alter ego Professor McElroy into the spotlight.

Gordon, Batman, and Robin interrogate Tut's alter ego, Professor McElroy, at the police station, while Chief O'Hara repeatedly knocks him on the head to switch his personality. McElroy admits guilt during the trial and faces rehabilitation in prison. The episode underscores Gotham's ongoing struggle with dual identities.

After the sentencing, Dent and Bruce Wayne share a quiet highball, signaling a fragile moment of alliance. Dent then leaves to attend a charity for underprivileged twins at the Winning Pair casino. The scene marks a shift from courtroom drama to Dent's continued public life.

A package arrives at Gordon's office: a World Atlas book with pages eaten away in three holes. Batman and Robin infer that the stolen books all deal with duality, pointing toward Bookworm as a suspect. The clue deepens the mystery surrounding Gotham's cycle of crime.

Batman and Robin track the duality-themed thefts to an abandoned sign factory, where Two-Face and his henchmen lie in wait. After defeating the goons, Two-Face pins them with a giant numeral two, and a coin flip decides their fate. Batman theorizes that several criminals are uniting against Dent.

Following Dent back to the lab, Robin is ambushed by Two-Face. Strange corrupts him with some of the liquid evil, and Batman is forced to fight and subdue the hypnotized Robin. Robin is later cured back at the Batcave.

The pursuit leads to Winning Pair Casino where Two-Face is revealed to be Dent. He unmasks Batman as Bruce Wayne and deduces Robin's identity, inviting other villains to bid for that knowledge. The revelation creates a crisis of identity for Batman and Robin.

With Catwoman's help, Batman and Robin defeat the other villains, but Two-Face escapes aboard Tut's biplane, spreading evil gas to corrupt Gotham's citizens. Batman and Robin pursue across the city and prepare for a final confrontation.

Batman and Robin shoot down Two-Face and, with Batman's guidance, Dent regains self-control, delivering a final defeat of the villain as they escape the factory. The immediate threat to Gotham appears to be resolved.

The next morning, Batman and Robin use the Batwing to cure the infected citizens. The city begins healing as the duo restore order and safety to Gotham. The duality crisis seems to have passed for now.

Months later, Dent holds a bachelor auction at Wayne Manor with Batman as the first bachelor. Catwoman makes the first bid, signaling a complex ongoing relationship within Gotham's elite circles. The event highlights Dent's continuing public role despite recent turmoil.

In a Blu-ray exclusive scene, Quinzel breaks the Joker out of prison while wearing a costume of her own, having adopted the Harley Quinn persona. The scene expands Quinzel's arc beyond the main film and hints at a larger rogues' gallery.
