Barbie Diana Kaarina is at the premiere of her latest movie, celebrated with her actor boyfriend Ken Adrian Petriw, when trouble arrives in the form of her rival and co-star Raquelle Britt Irvin, who steps on Barbie’s dress and tears it. Her stylists, Carrie Cassandra Lee Morris and Taylor Kate Higgins, who are secretly fairies, quickly weave a little magic to mend the damage. Crystal Brittney Wilson, a photographer, greets Carrie and Taylor and, after one last photo of Ken, heads back to Gloss Angeles—a realm populated by fairies and winged creatures. Crystal then shows Princess Graciella Alexandra Carter the pictures she took at the premiere and offers her a cup of tea, secretly mixed with a love potion. With a quick reveal of Ken’s image, Graciella becomes enamored at first sight.

The following day at Wally’s restaurant, Barbie confronts Raquelle about the dress-steps. In a surprising turn, Princess Graciella, Crystal, and two assistant fairies materialize and kidnap Ken. Carrie and Taylor sprout their wings and rush to intervene, but the portal to Gloss Angeles shuts before they can reach him. The stylists come clean about what they’ve seen and admit that fairies exist. They explain the risk: if a human marries a fairy, the human must stay in Gloss Angeles forever. Meanwhile, in Gloss Angeles, Ken and the Princess arrive at the royal palace and meet Zane, Graciella’s boyfriend Silvio Pollio, who is outraged by his rival’s new interest and challenges Ken to three consecutive duels.

Barbie, Raquelle, and the fairies purchase new wings from a clothing store’s Fairy Flyway and are whisked to the top of the Eiffel Tower in Paris. There they discover Lilliana Roxelle, the oldest and wisest fairy on Earth Nicole Oliver. She explains that Princess Graciella is under a love potion spell and provides Barbie with an antidote that will reverse the effect if it rains on her. It’s also revealed that Taylor and Carrie were banished from Gloss Angeles earlier due to personal reasons. With these revelations, the group uses Liliana’s portal to press on with their mission.

Back in Gloss Angeles, Barbie, Raquelle, Taylor, and Carrie head to Wings and Things to obtain fake wings for Barbie and Raquelle. They encounter Reena Candus Churchill, a human owner, and her fairy husband Graylon Nathaniel DeVeaux. Disguised as cooks, they try to expose Crystal’s love potion, but Crystal recognizes Taylor by her shoes, and Graciella locks the four in furyspheres. The rift between Barbie and Raquelle begins to heal as they realize Raquelle’s harshness stemmed from missing a real friendship with Barbie. They apologize, and this reconciliation breaks the furyspheres, turning their wings real and teaching them that forgiveness allows true flight.

The two race to stop the wedding of Graciella and Ken, fending off attendants and the princess herself. Barbie then pours the antidote over Graciella, breaking the love potion’s spell. Graciella realizes Crystal’s manipulation and apologizes for the misunderstanding. She also explains that she banished Taylor and Carrie because the three of them were once close friends, but Taylor and Carrie started spending so much time together that she felt left out and betrayed. Encouraged by Barbie and Raquelle, she lifts the ban, and the three fairies forgive each other. Graciella also punishes Crystal by making her clean up after the ceremony and then proceeds to marry Zane Silvio Pollio.

After the wedding, Graciella tells Barbie and Raquelle that their wings will disappear when they return to the human world and reappear upon returning to Gloss Angeles. She also warns that their memories of the adventures will be erased since Raquelle cannot keep a secret. The fairies send them back to Earth with magical dust. The next morning, Barbie wakes with no recollection of Gloss Angeles or the fairies, believing it was all a dream, yet she and Raquelle have become friends. Back at Wally’s, Carrie and Taylor reveal they’ve reconnected with Princess Graciella and are headed back to Gloss Angeles. In a final touch, Carrie and Taylor turn back into fairies and slip through the portal, continuing their lives beyond the human world.
