Mother informs Steed and Peel that the Prospero weather project was sabotaged by Peel. Peel denies the accusation and insists she is innocent. Steed and Peel are assigned to work together to uncover the real saboteur.

The duo visits Sir August de Wynter, a former Ministry scientist, who immediately takes a liking to Peel due to a shared love of weather. The encounter hints at a potential ally or rival in the weather scheming. Tension and charisma foreshadow a complicated relationship with de Wynter.

Following a lead to Wonderland Weather, a company that artificially creates heat or rain, Steed and Peel uncover two dead men in teddy bear suits. The men indicate a secret organization is involved, led by de Wynter. One bear resembles Peel, hinting at a clone among the ranks.

A teddy bear doubles as a Peel-like figure, confirming the clone theory. Steed arrives just in time to save Peel when the double leaps from a roof and vanishes.

Mechanical bees swarm de Wynter's mansion and the couple barely escapes. An elderly Ministry agent named Alice helps them flee, but de Wynter captures, drugs, and hypnotizes Peel.

Peel becomes trapped as the mansion's floor plan shifts, leaving her unable to escape. Steed tracks her down, frees her, and Peel lies unconscious after the rescue.

Back at Steed's apartment, Peel awakens and Steed fires her, effectively dismissing her from the investigation. The partnership strains under the weight of the accusations and betrayal.

Peel is arrested by Father and taken into custody. Meanwhile, Steed visits Invisible Jones to investigate the meaning of a map found at Wonderland Weather, hoping for a crucial clue.

Viewing photos of failed genetic experiments, including cloning, Steed realizes that Father is working with de Wynter to manipulate Peel and their plan. The conspiracy widens, tying Peel's fate to Father and Wynter.

Father and the Peel clone gas Peel unconscious but are confronted by Mother, whom they incapacitate to advance their scheme. The Ministry crew loses a key ally at this critical moment.

De Wynter uses Prospero to confront world leaders, delivering a midnight ultimatum to control weather and monetize it at great expense. His plan shows the global stakes of the sabotage.

Father and the Peel clone take Peel to a hot air balloon, where she regains consciousness and escapes during a snowstorm. The balloon collides with the Wonderland Weather sign, killing Father and the clone.

Jones identifies that de Wynter is using Prospero instruments on a secret island, and Peel and Steed travel there to stop him. The stakes rise as the island becomes the focal point for the final confrontation.

On the secret island, Peel defuses the Prospero device just as a hurricane forms over London, signaling the collapse of Wynter's weather manipulation. The crisis shifts from the island to the skies over the city.

Steed duels de Wynter and impales him with his own cane, and Wynter is disintegrated by a lightning bolt. The Weather base self-destructs, and Steed and Peel escape to reunite with Mother on a rooftop, sealing their alliance with a kiss.
