Jake arrives on Pandora

Jake Sully is transported to Pandora via a cryo-chamber and disembarks wearing an oxygen mask, as humans cannot breathe Pandora's atmosphere. He meets Dr. Grace Augustine and Norm Spellman, and begins his new role controlling an Avatar for the Na'vi recon mission. He immediately disobeys orders by exploring freely, joyful at regaining the use of his legs.

First encounter with Na'vi and creatures

Jake wanders into the forest, encounters Na’vi Neytiri, and a series of dangerous creatures, including a dinosaur-like beast and attacking panther-like creatures. Neytiri intervenes, saving him by killing the attacking creatures with her bow and arrow, and warns him about Pandora's dangerous wildlife.

Quaritch is killed
