Autonagar Surya

In 1973, Kotalingam murders a couple on a night train after attempting to rape a girl. He bribes the Railway Police to let him go, and the assault continues before the girl is killed. The trauma leaves Surya fearful of Kotalingam and marks the start of his lifelong war with the gangster's influence.

Three years later, in Autonagar, Vijayawada, Surya is mistreated by his maternal uncle Bharani who resents his parents' inter-caste marriage. His neighbor Sitaramaraju, a generous mechanical engineer, takes him in and treats him like a son. The shelter gives Surya a safe space to grow and dream beyond survival.

In 1984, Surya demonstrates exceptional skill with engines and helps Autonagar launch India's first Diesel engine. He and friends Kicha and Bunty showcase their talents before Bharani and Siri, who develops a crush on Surya's progress. The achievement boosts Surya's reputation and the town's ambitions collide with local power structures.

Jeeva, a gangster, offers Sitaramaraju a job, which leads to a confrontation that ends with Surya killing Jeeva in self-defense. He is arrested for murder and serves five years of imprisonment. During incarceration, he completes a mechanical engineering degree under the jailer's guidance.

While Surya serves his sentence, Indra becomes a corporator and destroys Sitaramaraju's workshop. He replaces Surya's friends with his own workers and tightens his grip on Autonagar. Bharani continues to be a puppet figure under Indra's control.

In 1989, Surya is released and reconciles with his old friends. Autonagar has shifted to diesel engines, but Surya seeks to pivot to electric vehicle batteries and starts his own company. Indra maintains an iron-fisted regime backed by the mayor.

Surya tries to join the Autonagar association with Kicha, but Indra offers a deal to accept smuggled spare parts. Surya questions the terms and rejects the commission, prompting the gang to align with his project. The deal collapses, paving the way for a united front against Indra.

Sitaramaraju, depressed by the destruction of his workshop, teams up with Surya again. Bhagwan’s investment helps fund their battery project, and they build a working prototype of an electric vehicle. The team mobilizes hope amid Autonagar's power struggles.

Surya clashes with Giri, a loyal Indra aide, as the prototype nears completion. He contends with accusations of monopoly within the association but earns official approval and becomes a member. He also wins a public vehicle auction to fuel his project.

Surya exposes the connection between the corruption-scene commissioners and the union scam. In a bold move, he kidnaps Indra's son Bharath to force concessions, and Indra agrees to his demands, revealing the alliance's break with the old guard.

The Mayor's gang abducts Bharani as part of suppressing Surya's rising influence. Pandemonium erupts in Autonagar, with casualties like Bunty and Sitaramaraju, igniting Surya's resolve to strike back against the regime.

Surya fights through the chaos, kills Indra and Giri, and the city erupts in rebellion against the Mafia and corrupt officials. Bharani at last acknowledges Surya, formalizing a link between them and signaling a new power in Autonagar.

With the Mafia exposed, Surya rejects personal power and instead lays the groundwork for a proper democratic system in Autonagar. The city transitions from oppression to governance led by the people, as Surya solidifies his legacy.
