In 1492 Spain, the Knights of the Templar Order embark on a critical mission to locate the mystical Apple of Eden. This quest is driven by their desire to control free will amidst the rising violence in the world.

In response to the Templars' ambitions, the Brotherhood of Assassins, led by Aguilar de Nerha, rises to thwart their plans. Aguilar's mission is to ensure that the Apple of Eden does not fall into Templar hands, emphasizing the importance of free will.

Fast forward to the 20th century, where young Callum Lynch faces a devastating tragedy at home. He discovers that his mother was murdered by his father, Joseph, who is dressed as an Assassin, forcing him to flee into the night.

Now a grown man, Callum Lynch finds himself on death row, convicted of murder. As he awaits execution, a series of surreal images envelop him, marking the beginning of a transformational journey.

Callum awakens in a high-tech facility where he meets Dr. Sophia Rikkin. She informs him that he is part of an experiment involving a machine called the Animus, which will unlock ancestral memories.

Callum, now connected to the Animus, is transported back to the Spanish Inquisition. There, he witnesses Aguilar and Maria on a mission to rescue Prince Ahmed from the Templars' clutches.

Aguilar and Maria launch a dangerous rescue operation against the Templars who have kidnapped Prince Ahmed. As Aguilar fights against Ojeda, the tension and stakes significantly rise.

Aguilar and Maria are captured by the Templars, leading to their eventual public execution. They realize that dark forces are at play, as the Templar agenda seeks absolute power over the Assassins.
