Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania

In the ending of “Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania,” the fight against Kang seems to conclude with the heroes managing to destroy the immediate threat. Cassie inspires the citizens of the quantum realm to revolt, and through a combination of efforts—Scott enlarging himself, Hope assisting, Janet causing a delay, and Hank arriving with his army—they manage to weaken Kang. The final moments see Scott and Hope shrinking the device along with Kang, effectively destroying both. It appears that Scott and Hope are trapped in the quantum realm, but just as the situation looks bleak, Cassie reopens the portal, allowing them to return home. The mid-credits scene introduces us to a gathering of Kang variants in a colosseum, plotting their rise to power, suggesting that chaos across the multiverse will intensify. These variants, including Kang the Conqueror and others like Rama-Tut, are poised to take control as the multiverse descends into disorder, setting up future Marvel conflicts—most notably, the upcoming “Avengers: Kang Dynasty,” which will likely focus on Kang’s attempt to reshape the universe without superheroes.

The post-credits scene connects to the series “Loki,” revealing that Sylvie’s actions at the end of that show have unleashed chaos. Sylvie kills the time-manipulating variant, He Who Remains, creating a multiverse free-for-all. Loki, who is now unaware of his true identity and living in a world with a giant Kang statue, believes there might be hope in a new variant of Kang named Victor Timely. Loki seems to think he can help fix the multiversal chaos or find Sylvie again, but we’ll have to wait for the next season of “Loki” to see how this plays out. Ultimately, the ending sets the stage for a multiverse in turmoil, with Kang’s variants moving to dominate and reshape the Marvel universe.
