Fifteen-year-old Molly Stewart is an honor student by day at a private prep school. At night she becomes Angel, a leather-clad street prostitute patrolling Hollywood Boulevard. The story follows her attempt to juggle two dangerous lives and the growing stakes as a nameless predator targets her circle.

Molly forms a tight-knit 'street family' to survive: Kit Carson, Yoyo Charlie, Mae, Crystal, Lana, and the landlady Solly. They offer protection, gossip, and a network of clients that keeps Angel on the streets. The bond among them deepens even as danger from the killer looms.

A nameless necrophiliac killer begins stalking the prostitutes, turning the boulevard into a perilous trap. The threat is unseen at first, but fear and rumor circulate among Angel and her friends. The tension mounts as disappearances and whispers escalate.

Crystal is murdered by the killer, sending shockwaves through Angel's circle. The brutal act underscores how quickly the street life can claim the young women who rely on it. Angel begins to fear she could be next.

Lt. Andrews is assigned to the case and tries to get a handle on the investigation, recognizing the complexities beyond a simple crime. He warns the prostitutes to pair up for safety as the case stalls. Angel agrees to team with Lana, forming a safer, two-person routine.

Lana escorts a client to a motel room, and later Angel returns with a client of her own to discover Lana's body in the shower. A police description is released and a composite sketch is made. The brutal crime shows the killer is no longer just a rumor but a danger Angel knows personally.

The killer is brought in for a lineup and Angel recognizes him, but he shoots his way out of the police station and escapes. The manhunt intensifies as he evades capture. The city tightens its grip around Angel and her friends as fear deepens.

Andrews questions Molly about her family and learns her father left when she was nine and her mother disappeared three years later. Molly has paid her rent, school tuition, and living expenses through prostitution since she was 12, keeping up a fragile pretence of normalcy. The weight of this secret shapes her responses to the danger around her.

Despite warnings to stay off the street, Molly buys a pistol and returns to work. Some classmates recognize Angel, and word spreads through the school that Molly is living a double life. The masquerade of normalcy collapses as the truth leaks out.

Ms. Patricia Allen visits the apartment to meet Molly's 'mother,' and Mae pretends to fulfill that role. The killer interrupts, stabbing Mae and leaving her fatally wounded. Molly and Mae share a tender moment before Mae succumbs to her injuries.

Molly learns Mae has died and resolves to avenge her friend. With Lt. Andrews' support, she arms herself with Solly's handgun and heads back onto the streets. The decision marks a shift from avoidance to active pursuit of the killer.

In a tense pursuit, Carson corners the killer and shoots him in the chest, killing him. The immediate threat is ended, bringing a grim relief to those who survived the night. The city begins to recover from the shock of the serial killer's attacks.

Molly, Lt. Andrews, and a wounded Carson walk off together, the immediate crisis resolved but the cost of the night clear on their faces. The film closes with a fragile sense of justice and the enduring toll of the street life on those who live it.
