Ang Babaeng Walang Pakiramdam

After a party, Tasha learns about a vacation and asks her friends Eric and Au to join. She hopes the trip will offer new experiences and perhaps a chance to feel something again. When her friends give a lot of excuses, she starts considering other options to make the plan work.

At the walk from the party, Tasha stumbles into a small store run by the vendor Tindera. Ngongo, a man with a cleft palate, tries to buy something but cannot be clearly understood, so he signs while singing the alphabet to spell his request. The moment highlights their different ways of communicating and sets the stage for future plans.

Tindera explains that Ngongo’s father died of cancer and he has a sister in Bohol who is ill. He has been fired from his call center job because of his condition. Hearing his plight, Tasha decides to accompany him on an all expense paid vacation that includes a stop in Bohol.

The duo travels to Enchanted Kingdom in Laguna and includes stops in Bohol and Pampanga for thrill activities like rides, bungee jumping, and ultralight flying. Despite the adrenaline, Tasha remains emotionally flat throughout the day and does not notice injuries she sustains. The experience tests Ngongo as he tries to connect with her without eliciting a reaction.

During the vacation, the cause becomes clearer: Tasha cannot feel physical pain or emotions because of her congenital condition and her upbringing. Her mother taught her that showing emotion is weakness and forbids crying, shaping her stoic behavior. The revelation begins to reveal the inner conflict she faces with Ngongo and with herself.

Ngongo opens up about his family and the bullying he faced as a child, which led him to wish to die when he was younger. He explains how his condition has affected his life choices and his longing for acceptance. Tasha listens and gains a deeper understanding of his feelings.

On the return trip, Ngongo uses the alphabet song to spell I LOVE U as a confession. Tasha rejects him before the last letter because she cannot feel anything. The moment her numbness and fear of vulnerability surface, signaling a turning point in their dynamic.

While driving back, they encounter a burning house. Tasha runs into the fire to save a child, a brave act driven by a sudden surge of purpose despite her lack of pain. She faints afterward and is rushed to a doctor who alerts them that immediate surgery is needed.

Tasha agrees to undergo the operation after discussing with her friends and reflecting on her memories with Ngongo. They visit the Tindera, who mentions that Ngongo will ride a train to Bicol that afternoon. The doctors emphasize the urgency as her condition wears down her body.

With renewed purpose, Tasha and friends hurry to the train station to intercept Ngongo as he plans to leave for Bicol. They learn from the Tindera that his departure is imminent. The chase reaches the station but Ngongo manages to board before they can reach him.

As the train leaves, Tasha shouts Ngongo's name for the first time and experiences a flood of emotions she has suppressed for years. Tears flow and a smile appears, but the overwhelming amount of feeling causes her to collapse in shock.

Sometime later, Ngongo visits Tasha’s grave and breaks down in tears. She had died from complications of her condition, but she leaves a final mark, the letter U, signaling that she loved him too. He reflects on how she finally felt like a person again in her last moments.
