Ah Boys To Men 2

The film opens with Singapore under a massive invasion, iconic landmarks attacked and civilians killed. Viewers later discover this chaotic scenario is actually a fictional war-based role-playing game played by Ken Chow. Ken is a rich, spoiled teenager who dreads conscription.

Ken reveals his fear of National Service and the looming obligation. His mother tries to help defer his service, but those plans fail. Amy's disapproval underscores the pressure he faces.

On enlistment day, the Chow family sends Ken off to begin NS. Ken is assigned to Ninja Company and arrives at the camp, where he meets his platoon.

Ken and the other recruits are bunked and introduced to their Platoon Sergeant. He meets fellow recruits Lobang, Aloysius Jin Sia-lan, and I.P. Man.

During the first weeks, the recruits go through basic training. Most of them are shown making simple and goofy mistakes.

Two weeks into training, the recruits finally book out for the first time. Ken returns home for a lavish party thrown by his family. The mood darkens when he sees a photo of Amy with another man.

Ken confronts Amy about her cheating. She dumps him at a highway, ending their relationship. Disheartened, Ken resolves to regain her love and hatches an escape plan from Pulau Tekong.

Feeling betrayed, Ken begins to plot an escape from Pulau Tekong. The plan becomes a central motivation as NS life continues around him.

During hot-weather training, Ken stops drinking water to trigger a heat injury that would force his return home. He also douses himself with cold water and sleeps under a ceiling fan to cope.

Ken collapses during training and is hospitalised. His father, alerted during a company meeting, drives to the hospital and suffers a stroke while racing to reach him, crashing his car in the process.

Ken wakes up in the hospital, surrounded by his sisters. He realises his reckless actions have caused problems for many people and cannot bear facing his recovering father.

Awakened to reality, Ken is fit enough to go back to training. The film ends with him returning to the NS routine and the story promising more to come.

Snippets of the next part are shown, leaving the audience with a sense of what remains of Ken's NS journey. The ending emphasizes the ongoing consequences of his choices.
